Affordable Access to Veterinary Prescription Consultations

MyVetScript was created to help eligible pet owners access online veterinary consultations for stable, previously diagnosed conditions where ongoing medication may be required.

We recognise that arranging repeat appointments can sometimes be inconvenient and costly, particularly where a condition has already been diagnosed and managed over time. However, every prescribing decision must remain clinically appropriate and in the best interests of the animal.

MyVetScript therefore provides a structured pathway in which eligibility is assessed, relevant clinical records are obtained, and suitable cases are reviewed by an RCVS-registered veterinary surgeon before any prescribing decision is made.

How the Service Works

Pet owners first complete an eligibility assessment. Where the service may be suitable, MR Vet Ltd requests and reviews the relevant clinical history. Suitable cases are then invited to book a secure video consultation, after which the veterinary surgeon decides whether prescribing is clinically appropriate.

Responsible Veterinary Care

MyVetScript is intended for selected, stable cases and does not replace routine, in-person or emergency veterinary care.

A consultation is offered only where sufficient clinical information is available and the veterinary surgeon considers remote assessment appropriate. A prescription is never guaranteed.

Antibiotics and other antibacterial medicines, antifungals, antivirals, antiparasitic medicines and controlled drugs are not prescribed through this remote service.

Veterinary-Led and Clinically Governed

MyVetScript was developed by veterinary professionals with experience in first-opinion practice, clinical governance and remote veterinary care.

The platform is operated by FTC Vets Ltd. Veterinary consultations, clinical records, prescribing decisions and professional responsibility are managed by MR Vet Ltd, an RCVS-registered veterinary practice.

This separation ensures that the digital platform supports access and administration, while all clinical decisions remain under the control of the veterinary practice and attending veterinary surgeon.

Your Veterinary Service Provider

Veterinary consultations arranged through MyVetScript are currently provided by MR Vet Ltd, an RCVS-registered veterinary practice.

MR Vet Ltd is responsible for reviewing clinical records, determining whether a consultation can be offered, providing the consultation, maintaining clinical records and making all prescribing decisions.

The identity of the clinical provider is clearly disclosed before booking and payment.
