MyVetScript – Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: 15.06.2026

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the MyVetScript platform and all services made available through it.

By accessing this website, completing an online triage questionnaire, submitting information or otherwise using the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions, you should not use this service.

2. About MyVetScript

MyVetScript is an online triage and referral platform operated by FTC Vets Ltd.

FTC Vets Ltd provides technology, administrative and customer support services through the MyVetScript platform.

Clinical veterinary services requested through the MyVetScript platform are provided by MR Vet Ltd, an RCVS Registered Veterinary Practice.

FTC Vets Ltd does not provide veterinary consultations, diagnosis, treatment, prescribing or clinical decision-making services. These services are provided solely by MR Vet Ltd under separate terms governing the provision of veterinary services.

3. Nature of the Service

MyVetScript is intended to facilitate access to veterinary consultation services, including prescription consultations where appropriate.

The platform is not intended to replace routine veterinary care, emergency care or physical examinations where these are considered necessary.

Each case is assessed individually.

Use of the MyVetScript platform does not establish a veterinary-client-patient relationship with MR Vet Ltd. Any veterinary-client-patient relationship is established only if MR Vet Ltd accepts your case for consultation in accordance with its own terms and applicable professional requirements.

4. Eligibility

Submission of an online triage form does not guarantee that a consultation will be offered.

The service may not be suitable where:

  • The condition is undiagnosed;
  • The condition is unstable or deteriorating;
  • New symptoms have developed;
  • Emergency care may be required;
  • A physical examination is considered necessary;
  • The requested medication falls outside the scope of the service; or
  • Insufficient clinical information is available.

Eligibility decisions are made on a case-by-case basis.

5. Clinical Decision Making

All clinical decisions are made independently by suitably qualified veterinary surgeons acting on behalf of MR Vet Ltd.

Submission of information through the MyVetScript platform does not guarantee that a consultation will be offered, that a prescription will be issued, or that any requested medicine will be prescribed.

Decisions regarding suitability for consultation, the need for further information or examination, and any prescribing decisions are made solely on the professional judgement of the veterinary surgeon and in accordance with applicable legislation and the professional requirements of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).

6. Clinical Records

Following submission of a triage request, MR Vet Ltd may request clinical records from the client's registered veterinary practice.

The client's registered veterinary practice may choose to contact the owner before releasing records.

The decision to release clinical records remains entirely at the discretion of the client's registered veterinary practice.

Neither FTC Vets Ltd nor MR Vet Ltd is responsible for delays caused by third-party veterinary practices.

7. Pre-Booking Review

Following receipt of clinical records, MR Vet Ltd may undertake a preliminary review to determine whether sufficient information is available to proceed with a veterinary consultation.

This review:

  • Is not a veterinary consultation;
  • Is not a prescribing decision;
  • Does not establish a veterinary-client-patient relationship; and
  • Does not guarantee that a consultation or prescription will be offered.

The preliminary review is undertaken solely to determine whether sufficient information is available to proceed with a consultation and does not constitute veterinary advice, diagnosis or treatment.

Following review, the client may either:

  • Receive an invitation from MR Vet Ltd to book a consultation; or
  • Be informed that a consultation cannot be offered.

MR Vet Ltd may determine that a consultation is not appropriate based on the information available.

8. Veterinary Consultation

Where MR Vet Ltd determines that a consultation may be appropriate, you may be invited to book a veterinary consultation directly with MR Vet Ltd.

Any appointment booking, consultation fees, veterinary consultation, clinical records, prescribing decisions and veterinary services are provided solely by MR Vet Ltd.

Before booking a consultation or making payment, you will be provided with MR Vet Ltd's applicable Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy, which govern the provision of veterinary services and form a separate agreement between you and MR Vet Ltd.

9. Emergencies

MyVetScript is not an emergency veterinary service.

If your pet:

  • Appears acutely unwell;
  • Develops new symptoms;
  • Experiences deterioration;
  • Suffers an injury; or
  • Requires urgent veterinary attention,

you should contact your usual veterinary practice or the nearest emergency veterinary provider immediately.

The MyVetScript platform is not continuously monitored and should never be used to seek emergency veterinary advice or treatment.

10. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes liability where such exclusion would be unlawful.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FTC Vets Ltd shall not be liable for indirect, consequential or incidental losses arising from use of the MyVetScript platform.

MR Vet Ltd is solely responsible for the provision of veterinary services, clinical records, prescribing decisions and clinical decision-making.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects a client's statutory rights.

11. Privacy and Data Protection

Personal information submitted through the MyVetScript platform will be processed in accordance with the MyVetScript Privacy Policy.

Where appropriate, information may be shared with MR Vet Ltd for the purposes of reviewing a request, requesting clinical records and determining whether a consultation can be offered.

Where a consultation proceeds, MR Vet Ltd will become independently responsible for processing personal and clinical information relating to the consultation.

12. Complaints

Complaints relating to the operation of the MyVetScript platform, website functionality or administration should be directed to MyVetScript.

Complaints relating to veterinary consultations, appointment booking, consultation fees, cancellations, refunds, prescribing decisions, clinical care or clinical records should be directed to MR Vet Ltd.

13. Platform Availability

FTC Vets Ltd aims to keep the MyVetScript platform available at all times but does not guarantee uninterrupted access. Access may be suspended, restricted or interrupted for maintenance, security reasons, technical issues or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

14. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, all content on the MyVetScript website, including text, graphics, logos, branding, images and software, is owned by or licensed to FTC Vets Ltd and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Content may not be copied, reproduced, distributed or used without prior written permission except as permitted by law.

15. Amendments

These Terms and Conditions may be updated from time to time.

The latest version will always be published on the MyVetScript website.

16. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
