1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern veterinary consultations provided by MR Vet Ltd, an RCVS Registered Veterinary Practice.

By booking and attending a consultation, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

These Terms and Conditions apply solely to the provision of veterinary services by MR Vet Ltd and are separate from the MyVetScript Platform Terms and Conditions.

For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, a "consultation" means a scheduled remote veterinary consultation provided by an appropriately qualified veterinary surgeon employed by or acting on behalf of MR Vet Ltd.

2. About the Veterinary Service

Veterinary consultations are provided by MR Vet Ltd, an RCVS Registered Veterinary Practice, through appropriately qualified veterinary surgeons.

MR Vet Ltd is responsible for:

• Appointment booking
• Collection of consultation fees
• Veterinary consultations
• Clinical assessments
• Clinical record keeping
• Prescribing decisions
• Clinical governance
• Professional responsibility for veterinary care

3. Eligibility

To use this service you must:

• be aged 18 years or over;
• be authorised to make decisions regarding the animal's care;
• provide accurate and complete information;
• ensure that all information provided during the consultation is true to the best of your knowledge.

4. Appointment Booking

Appointments are offered subject to availability.

An invitation to book a consultation does not guarantee the availability of any particular appointment date, time or veterinary surgeon.

MR Vet Ltd reserves the right to reschedule appointments where reasonably necessary.

Appointments are confirmed only once the consultation fee has been received.

5. Consultation Fees

Consultation fees are payable before an appointment can be confirmed.

The consultation fee covers the professional veterinary consultation and clinical assessment undertaken by an RCVS-registered veterinary surgeon.

The consultation fee is payable whether or not a prescription is ultimately issued.

Payment of the consultation fee does not guarantee any particular clinical outcome.

6. Telehealth Consultations

Consultations are conducted remotely using secure video consultation technology.

Clients are responsible for ensuring they have:

• A suitable internet connection;
• A device with a functioning camera and microphone;
• A private and appropriate environment for the consultation.

Where technical difficulties occur on the client's side, the consultation may be affected and a refund may not be available.

The veterinary surgeon may terminate or rearrange the consultation if technical difficulties prevent an adequate clinical assessment from being carried out.

7. Veterinary Consultations

During the consultation, the veterinary surgeon will:

• Review the available clinical history;
• Discuss your pet's current condition;
• Assess whether prescribing is clinically appropriate;
• Determine whether additional information, investigations or examination are required.

Every consultation is assessed individually.

The duration of the consultation may vary depending on the clinical circumstances of the individual case.

8. Prescribing Decisions

All prescribing decisions remain solely at the discretion of the attending veterinary surgeon.

Following clinical assessment, the veterinary surgeon may:

• Issue a prescription;
• Issue a prescription subject to recommendations or monitoring;
• Modify the requested treatment;
• Decline to prescribe.

No guarantee is given that any medication will be prescribed.

The clinical decision of the attending veterinary surgeon shall be final.

Clinical decisions will be made in accordance with applicable legislation, RCVS guidance and the professional judgement of the attending veterinary surgeon.

9. Remote Prescribing Limitations

The attending veterinary surgeon may determine that remote prescribing is not clinically appropriate.

This may occur where:

• A physical examination is required;
• Additional diagnostic investigations are required;
• Monitoring is required;
• The available clinical information is insufficient;
• Animal welfare would be better served by an in-person examination.

Where appropriate, you may be advised to seek further assessment from your usual veterinary practice or another suitable veterinary provider.

10. Clinical Records

MR Vet Ltd will create and maintain clinical records relating to your consultation.

Clinical records may include:

• Consultation notes;
• Medical history;
• Clinical communications;
• Prescriptions;
• Treatment recommendations;
• Other records required for the provision of veterinary services.

Clinical records will be retained in accordance with applicable legal, regulatory and professional obligations.

11. Prescriptions

Where a prescription is issued, responsibility for obtaining, dispensing and administering the prescribed medication rests with the client and any dispensing veterinary practice or pharmacy.

Availability of prescribed medication cannot be guaranteed.

The client remains responsible for following all prescribing instructions and notifying the prescribing veterinary surgeon or their usual veterinary practice if their pet's condition changes following the consultation.

12. Out-of-Hours and Emergency Care

MR Vet Ltd is an RCVS Registered Veterinary Practice and maintains appropriate out-of-hours emergency care arrangements in accordance with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) Code of Professional Conduct. Our appointed out-of-hours provider is Medivet 24 Hour Birstall, 84 Sibson Road, Birstall, Leicester, LE4 4NA.

As MR Vet Ltd provides remote veterinary consultations to clients throughout the United Kingdom, this service is not intended to provide emergency or urgent veterinary care. If your pet requires urgent veterinary attention or a physical examination, you should seek immediate assistance from your usual veterinary practice or your nearest local emergency veterinary provider without delay. Where appropriate, we ask that you inform MR Vet Ltd of any significant developments relevant to your pet's ongoing care following emergency or local veterinary treatment.

13. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, liability is limited to the provision of the veterinary consultation and associated clinical services provided by MR Vet Ltd.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects your statutory rights.

14. Privacy and Clinical Information

Personal information and clinical records relating to your consultation will be processed by MR Vet Ltd in accordance with the applicable Privacy Policy.

By booking a consultation, you acknowledge that clinical records will be created and maintained by MR Vet Ltd as part of the provision of veterinary services.

15. Refunds and Cancellations

Consultation fees, cancellations and refunds are governed by the Veterinary Consultation Refund and Cancellation Policy.

By booking a consultation you acknowledge that you have read and agree to that policy.

16. Complaints

Complaints relating to:

• Appointment booking;
• Consultation fees;
• Cancellations;
• Refunds;
• Veterinary consultations;
• Clinical records;
• Prescribing decisions; or
• Clinical care,

should be directed to MR Vet Ltd.

Complaints will be handled in accordance with MR Vet Ltd's complaints procedure.

17. Amendments

These Terms and Conditions may be updated from time to time.

The latest version will be made available before booking a consultation.

18. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
